I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how your support of the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council could help you. The Kennebec and Moose River Valley is one of eight recipients of the Maine Tourism Marketing Partnership Program Regional Grant. As the recipient of this Maine Office of Tourism Grant, KVTC has the lead in representing your interests to the Maine Office of Tourism and the Maine Tourism Association.  KVTC has the primary responsibility to design and implement a tourism plan for the Kennebec and Moose River Valleys.

The primary objective of the Maine Tourism Marketing Partnership Program (MTMPP) is the creation and implementation of programs designed to stimulate and expand the travel industry within Maine’s tourism regions while strengthening the State’s image by coordinating the promotional efforts of the private sector with those of the Office of Tourism.

Your membership dues and advertising dollars provide the cash match required to leverage the MTMPP grant award. These funds ensure that the KVTC membership has direct input into marketing and promoting the region. The KVTC works cooperatively with the Maine Office of Tourism to ensure that the Kennebec and Moose River Valley’s interest is well represented in the State’s marketing initiatives.

A membership in KVTC offers other advantages as well.  Your membership makes possible for the KVTC website, the Create Memories publication, and other direct marketing initiatives.  Your membership also assures that our region is represented at trade shows and at the Maine Visitors Travel Centers.  Some of our projects planned for the current year include: 

• Improving the design of our website to better serve you and our visitors..

• Updating the Create Memories publication in order to offer our visitors a fresh look at the Kennebec and Moose River Valley each year.

• Displaying the Create Memories video at the Kittery Visitors Center.

• Representing you at national trade shows with the Maine Office of Tourism’s trade show pavilion.

• Networking better with other organizations in our region through cooperative advertising initiatives.
