I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how your support of the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council could help you. Your membership dues will help to provide the cash match required to secure this year’s state tourism promotion grant of more than $94,000.  As the recipient of this Maine Office of Tourism grant, KVTC has the lead for our region in representing your interests to the Maine Office of Tourism and the Maine Tourism Association.  KVTC has the primary responsibility to design and implement a tourism plan for the Kennebec and Moose River Valleys.

A membership in KVTC offers other advantages as well.  Your membership makes possible the KVTC website, the Create Memories publication and the Create A Memory video.  Your membership also assures that our region is represented at trade shows and at the Maine Visitors Centers.  Some of our projects planned for the current year include:

• Improving the design of our website to better serve you and our visitors. Our website is linked to the State’s which reached over 1 million visitors in the spring and summer of 2007.

• Updating the Create Memories publication in order to offer our visitors a fresh look at the Kennebec and Moose River Valley each year.

• Displaying the Create Memories video at the Kittery Visitors Center.

• Representing you at national trade shows with the Maine Office of Tourism’s trade show pavilion.

• Networking better with other organizations in our region through cooperative advertising initiatives.
